Northern Lakes Cooperative By-Law Changes

Proposed Bylaw Changes 2021 – This change will allow the Northern Lakes Cooperative to present annual meeting required documents to the membership via mail and the webpage.


Current: BYLAW I. MEMBERS MEETING
Section 1. Annual Meeting. The annual meeting of this cooperative shall be held within six (6) months of the close of the fiscal year, the exact date, time and place to be determined by the Board of Directors. The annual meeting of the Board of Directors for the election of officers shall be held at the first Board of Directors meeting following the annual meeting of the members.
Section 3. Notice. The secretary shall give notice of the annual meeting by mailing the same to each and every member personally, or in the case of a cooperative to the secretary thereof, at their last known post office address, not less than seven days nor more than thirty days previous to the date of such meeting.

Section 1. Annual Meeting. The annual meeting of this cooperative shall be held by mail and website posting within six (6) months of the close of the fiscal year, the exact date for the mailing and posting shall be determined by the Board of Directors. The mailing shall include announcements and a voting ballot. The posting shall be on nlcoop.com and will include all yearend documents and reports. The annual meeting of the Board of Directors for the election of officers shall be held at the first Board of Directors meeting following the annual meeting of the members.
Section 3. Notice. The Board shall give notice of the annual meeting by mailing to each qualified voting member and then to all other members with notice posted on nlcoop.com. Mailing will be sent to the member’s last known post office address, not less than seven days nor more than thirty days previous to the date of such meeting.
